It doesn't matter about the IRR (internal rate of return) of the investment, it should be done. I've received a couple comments about this post and I realized I should have wrote something more to get my point across.

Many of the responses I've received assume that being 'green', however you define it, it just a simple choice and not a MORAL choice.

So, as it IS a moral choice, its like asking: should someone who runs a clothing factory overseas care about working conditions? It doesn't matter about the IRR (internal rate of return) of the investment, it should be done.
